At the 2020 Sprys Bull sale, we were very pleased to be able to secure an excellent son of Canadian super sire, Muridale Thermal Energy. We liked the structure and type of Thermal Energy, as well as his excellent carcass data, his outcross genetics and high calving ease. The Thermal Energy progeny has sold to $45,000 in the US and $70,000 in Australia. Our new bull, Outback Sprys Energy P271, is a beautiful dark red described by Gerald Spry as well balanced and easy doing with medium maturity. He is homo polled and has an excellent disposition. With his high calving ease and low birthweight, we is an asset to our herd. At purchase, his marbling is in the breed’s top 1% and he was the Sale’s top bull on the API $INDEX. His dam, Outback Diva D07, was selected into the Outback ET programme as a donor. Several of her sons have been used in Stud herds. We were confident that this is a bull for the times.
